UNI EN 10268

Flat cold rolled high yield strength steel products for cold forming.

Micro-alloyed high-strength steels (HSLAs) characterised by a low carbon content and micro-alloyed elements. These are products with high ductility, high yield strength and mechanical strength thanks to their chemical purity and fine grain microstructure.

The consistent and uniform characteristics mean they are ideal for multiple machining types; however the moulding capacity decreases with increased mechanical resistance; generally have good resistance to fatigue and impact.

SURFACE FINISH

• Common gloss (b) : Ra ≤ 0.40 μm;

• Semi-gloss (g) : Ra ≤ 0.90 μm;

• Normal (m) : 0.60 ≤ Ra ≤ 1.90 μm;

• Rough (r) : Ra ≤ 1.60 μm.

Unless otherwise specified in the order, sheets are supplied with a normal finish.

Aspetto superficiale

A: Defects such as pores, slight indentations, small protrusions, slight scratches or a slight coloration are allowed that do not affect the ability to shape and adherence of the surface coatings.

B: the best surface, for visible pieces, must be free from defects that could compromise the uniform appearance of a quality paint or an electrolytically applied coating, the other surface must at least conform to the surface appearance of type A.

The cutting and supply of steel strip from COILS is our “core business”. We process thicknesses from 0.30 to 6.00 mm

Strap hinges

Chiminello S.r.l. is able to supply steel strap hinges, sheet metal squares and various flat pieces with thicknesses ranging from 0.3 mm to 3.0 mm

The introduction of a new sheet metal levelling and cutting system allows Chiminello S.r.l. to meet the needs of the manual moulding market, light carpentry, small batch machining and non-automated processes.

Correct supply is guaranteed by precise control throughout all machining phases and  the product is packaged with special protective coatings against corrosion and rust.
