UNI EN 10346 MICROALLOY
Flat continuous hot dip coated steel MICROALLOY products.
This product range is characterised by a layer of surface coating applied via continuous hot dipping of the steel (substrate) inside a solution containing elements that protect the sheet against corrosion.
MICROALLOY products possess high ductility, high yield strength and mechanical strength. The homogenous characteristics make them suitable for multiple types of machining. However, it should be noted that the capacity to mould decreases with increased mechanical strength.
• Normal = large regular and bright grain;
• Micrograin = small grain not always visible
to the naked eye
A: Small imperfections are possible such as small alveoli, variations in flower size, dark spots, light scratches and passivation spots.
B: It is obtained through the skinpass. With this type of surface, small imperfections are possible such as scratches due to the skinpass, streaks, irregularities but not cavities.
C: It is obtained through the skinpass. The best surface does not damage the apparent uniformity of a high class of color finish; the other surface must be at least of type B.
C: Chemical passivation; Also available free of hexavalent chromium compliant with the RoHS Directive. The surface may have yellowish residues that do not alter the characteristics of the product.
O: Oiling with oils that can be removed with degreasing solvents. This treatment reduces the risk of surface corrosion.
CO: Oiling + chemical passivation to increase the protective effect against corrosion.
S: Organic passivation, also called AFP (Anti Finger Print) or SPT (Resin Coating), consisting of a polymer film that improves protection against corrosion, avoids the formation of fingerprints, facilitates sliding during processing and behaves from primer in the painting phase.
P: Phosphating, suitable for applying a layer of paint.
PO: Phosphating + oiling to improve formability.
U: Without protection.
